I've got the Hero version as well. This is like my 4th. None were my fault - one is just badly worn, but I still have it as a backup. The others developed a problem with the LMB - if you held it down, it would intermittently short close and open, so if you were dragging something, for example, it would drop in unexpected places. Frustrating. It's a known issue with many of their G502 Heros, but I couldn't get them to replace it, the fuckers. The 'legendary' Logitech warranty service is non-existent, in my experience. I actually replaced the LMB on one and it worked for an addition 1.5-2 years, but it's a real hassle and I wouldn't really recommend it. Mice today have a lot going on inside, more than they have in the past. It was hard to put back together, much less remove the damned mousebutton switch.

HyperX Cloud III Wireless – Gaming Headset for PC, PS5, PS4, up to 120-hour Battery, 2.4GHz Wireless, DTS Spatial Audio, 53mm Angled Drivers, Memory Foam, Durable Frame, 10mm Microphone, Black/Red

$49.50

Damn good price, I'm tempted to buy a spare. I paid $77 for a 'used, like new' set on Amazon just 5 weeks ago (and they were like new - still packaged up like new). . .and since I have a way of seeing historical prices on products, I can tell you that $77 was a good price - which means this is a very good price. They had a 3-day sale last November for $72, but for that, in almost 700 days of tracking, the price never went below $99, and was usually around $115.

I've been using these since the end of May. I like them and use them all day. It's really nice to be free of wires. I can go to the kitchen and still listen and talk in Discord, which is nice, but it's also nice to be rid of the wires when sitting at the computer. I find the construction to be very solid - the best constructed I've had since I was gifted a beefy set of KOSS headphones in 1980 (they were tanks).

I also use some free equalizer software, that equalizes all the sound that is generated by the computer. It's popular in some circles, and audiophiles like to create EQ settings for various popular headsets. The ones they post generally take headphones with heavy bass, or treble, or whatever range (these guys get pretty granular with the sound) and tweak it to be more neutral. I've been using this software for years, so I went looking for an EQ setting I could DL. I thought the sound was much better when I DL'ed and tried the recommended settings, so it's something you might like to try if you buy these.

Paladin, don't buy these. You know you won't like them.

That is listing for $118 NOT $50. Fuckers......

I may like them, I can't really wear ANY headphones anymore. I get severe ear fatigue and don't know why. I wear my headphones in front of my ears, not over them, when we game and that helps.

I won't get them at that price as I paid almost $200 for my headphones and I need something that uses standard audio connectors to use on my switch and I REQUIRE 3D sound. Yours may do 3D so that is good. Anyway but I LOVE my switch.:)

If I can get them for $50 I may grab them anyway just to have.

FWIW I uses this software for audio. Works with any headset and any mic.
Steelseries GG software

It has a LOT of control over your sound.
Pro Presets
Parametric EQ
Audio Mixer
AI Noise Cancellation
Spatial Audio

I really love it overall. As mentioned it gives you a LOT of control over the sound itself as well as what sound is coming through what device/channel. You can have your YouTube come through your speakers, another app/browser and the game through your headphones etc... You can simply drag an icon for any application to tell it what sound device to use. Has seriously great EQ for sound and microphone.

I had some glitches with it over the years but it has not really given me any problems recently at all. I think they fixed a lot of the bugs I was having. It also could have been software on my end clashing with it. Seems solid now.

Well, bummer. I hesitate to even post good deals any more, because so often they're over before you guys read them.

Maybe it's for the best. I really doubt these have "3D sound" enhancement that you'd like anyway, not even with the DTS stuff turned on.

EDIT: I see now that your 3D software is headset-agnostic.

The STEAM summer sale ends Thursday morning. If you have games you want, games in your cart, better buy 'em before the price goes back up.

Hogwarts Legacy on Epic Games launcher is free now, for those of you who use the Epic storefront.

I'm not a Potter fan at all, but it's free, maybe I'll be bored one day.

Giveaway ends at 10AM on the 18th.
