Ghost recon

I am posting this here because it expires Monday.10/11 at 6PM
============================================================================

Before you say anything, YES I want to start gaming more. I will I promise, especially when we have games like this that we need to play through.
I will commit to at least once a week on Fri or Sat nights

I am going to pop some IB and try to play tonight BTW.

==========================================
Both Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017) and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint (2019) are on sale at Epic Games Store from October 5 until October 11.

These are games we can play coop. They are very cheap right now, $7.49 (70% off) and $8.99 (75% off) respectively for the standard editions.
I don't really know which game is better etc.. but they are cheap! Cheap enough that we can get both. i :) i
-------------------

So we can buy these, or at least one of them, and get free DLC to also play together. (See below)
We can have up to 4 players COOP.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands

I think I am going to buy both of these and get the free DLC.

Edit: I bought both and am installing them now.
I am going to play Wildfire tonight, since the COOP reports that people can jump in at anytime that will make it easier.

The cool thing is we an also get FREE DLCs for them.
Ghost Recon 20th Anniversary Giveaways

=============================================================================================
Sent this to Doc figured I would repost here.

I think we should play wildlands since it was first.

I just watched the first video I linked below and he said it took him 42 hours to play through it so that is pretty good for us.
According to the Wiki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clanc ... ands_(2017)

It seems that Wildfire may be the better one? Unsure but the description is interesting, especially this part "described it as one of the biggest open world games that they have ever published"

Sounds like something we would like.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017)Main article: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon WildlandsTom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world tactical shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Paris. It is the tenth installment in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise and is the first Ghost Recon game to feature an open world environment. The game moves away from the futuristic setting introduced in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and instead feature a setting similar to the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Ubisoft described it as one of the biggest open world games that they have ever published, with the game world including a wide variety of environments such as mountains, forests, deserts and salt flats. The game was released in 2017 for Microsoft Windows,

Remember to buy Wildlands today to get the sale price. Not bad for under $8.

I tried. The Epic Store decided it didn't like my PayPal account.

I was not a happy camper. I took the time to watch both YouTube videos and decided it looked like good fun for a good price, then got double-cock-blocked. It was pretty much last minute so I ran out of time.

Oh well. Maybe it'll go on sale again.

*Except for Prophet, of course. No Steam deal, unfortunately.

I almost just didn't even check what it was. Thought it was that Wildlands again. A description is useful. i :) i

So that is just a stand alone version of the BL2 adventure, which we all already played, or is that something new?

Yeah CRAP. Thought it was a new adventure. I thought I'd heard about another BF3 DLC possibly coming out, and thought this was it. This is very different. NEVER MIND.

Also, SCREW descriptions, dammit! Take the risk or the movie's over!

Yeah it's a stand-alone version of Tiny Tina's adventure in BL2. It has some a few new things the original didn't have (extra gear etc), but not sure if it's enough to warrant another play through.

Oh I LOVED TTA in BL2. I though that was a blast. I know we have lots of other games to play but I would make time to run through that again. Doc and I really enjoyed that, it was like its own game. I am really cooking forward to the stand alone game that comes out next year.

Battlefield V The Definitive Edition (with all DLC), the WWII themed predecessor to BF2042, is only $5.39 plus tax on Steam right now. I picked it up in case we wanted to play it together. It's more popular than 2042 is so it's much easier to find online games.

I am way behind on reading the forums again. I really need to check more. I don't always get notifications when new posts are made.

Anyway I got that free with my video card Larva. Played it a tiny bit. One of the first games that used RTS so my card had that. It was not horrible. I can't say much as no one else had it so i did not get to play much since I don't like playing games like that alone.

I still love 2042 much better though. 2042 is pretty fun in bot matches, at least for me. i :) i

I have it, and BF2042, and BF1, and BF4, and BF3 and 2142 and BF Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 2. No BF1942 :)

If you don't have BF Hardline, then you can't call yourself a true, hardcore BF fan. ;) Yeah... that was basically Battlefield: Cops & Robbers.

I still love BF1942. You have to play the latest version of the Battlegroup42 mod for it to be tolerable though. They only stopped making changes to the mod 3 years ago. The landscape textures are pretty rough, but the new vehicle textures are pretty good.

I really miss playing BF1942 with Lurch. We used to take turns spotting and shelling the crap out of bad guys.

Free on Epic Games: Destiny 2, the legacy collection (Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen)

Read about it here:
https://www.polygon.com/gaming/2023/12/ ... collection

Git it here:
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/free-games

You need to 'buy' the main Destiny 2, which is also free, before it will allow you to buy the legacy collection.

It's free. If you play D2 and aren't boycotting Epic Games, you might as well get it. Why not? You don't have to install it right away or anything.

Thanks Doc. If anything you reminded me just in time to add a calendar entry to check the Epic store every day this month for the free daily game offers for Christmas.

I have a reminder set to check every weekend already but almost forgot they do it every day this month and it JUST started.

I snag most every free game Epic offers just to do. Hey it's free! :)
