Nice phone and at a good price Lexx. Did you get the 12GB RAM version? That is what I have and it helps.

I am married to the Samsung Eco system, my phone, TV etc.. all Samsung. If i was not into Samsung so much I would consider that phone.

It however lacks a few features that I NEED like no wireless charging.
I LOVE wireless charging and use it a lot. I now have my car setup in an automatic cradle, get the phone close to the base and it automatically opens and clamps onto the phone. That also has wireless charging. With that and BT audio I just plop my phone into the cradle and don't have to connect any wires at all.
I am loving that setup.

I also WANT an SD card slot. I get that many don't need that but I like the extra storage. I have 1/2 a TB on my phone. Could I live without it, yes. Do I WANT to..NO. i :) i

Also the camera on the Note 10+ is way better. The One Plus's camera is average but lets face it who cares for the average person. Myself I care.
I also love having the S-Pen but that does not count as a comparison.

None of that is really a negative to you man, that is a GREAT deal for you and I am happy you found a phone you like finally.

Newegg today has started Black friday and there are a few items, but one I thought you guys may note is water cooling, dual fans, $50. Thats' insanely cheap. Just make sure your case has two side by side cooling fan slots.

Yah Jace, actually that camera is rated one of the best. I can use OTG if I want but the warp speed between the USB C was crazy like hard drive fast. Yes, I've had several Oneplus's since the +1 came out. ALL of them are still running perfectly. I think I may ebay them away. There is a huge fanbase of these phones. I didn't even think of wireless charging though, but wouldn't have stopped me. Got your email, great, I have a usb C stand usb 2 that is a trickle charger I can use at night, but I like your idea and I plan on keeping this phone for 4 or more years.

Micro SD RAM. It's usually easy to find a use for it. Here are some sales. I'm tempted to pimp out my tablet, and then pimp out my phone by moving the tablet's current SD card over to it. I could do a lot with 256gb.

Wonder if I can load up the cards and swap them as needed, if the tablet would weird out and want to format it each time. It would probably be OK. I should load up a card with my music and a bunch of my favorite movies/shows, to pass the time if I end up in the hospital again.

Anyway, here are a couple deals. There are cheaper I'm sure, but I don't deal in off-brand memory.
$14.99 - SanDisk 128GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - C10, U1, Full HD, A1, Micro SD Card - SDSQUAR-128G-GN6MA

$29.99 - SanDisk 256GB Ultra MicroSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - 100MB/s, C10, U1, Full HD, A1, Micro SD Card - SDSQUAR-256G-GN6MA

$27.99 - Samsung 256GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSDXC EVO Select Memory Card with Full-Size Adapter (MB-ME256GA/AM)

It would not freak out but you really don't want to do it that way.

Get an mSD card for each.

If you want to put TV and movies on something and be able to watch them from different devices just use an external OTG cable and put your stuff on a USB stick, more limited to 64 or 128 GB, or a small portable HD, more storage. Also you can get a 256 or 512 mSD card and put it in a USB reader and plug that into the OTG cable. OTG is the best way to go for files. Android is awesome the way it works for this type of thing.

Apple makes great hardware and their tablets are great but you simply can't use it the same way. :)

How fast are USB drives? Mine seems very slow. I have a 32gb drive, and I'm transferring 18 gigs and it says it will take 40 minutes - that's over USB 3.

Do they get faster than that? If that's all the faster they are, I'm not loading up a 128gb or 256gb stick with movies.

Depends on the speed of your PC and the interface etc.. Is the USB drive you refer to a USB 2.0 one? if so they are obviously slower.
If you use a USB 3 drive and plug it into a USB port it should copy very fast!
Either way who cares, just copy stuff here and there as you go. i :) i

Get a small portable SSD drive or get an enclousre for one, and do it that way. You can get a 512GB SSD and fill that up. The tablet should be able to read it though I have not tried something that large. would need to look into it further if you really want to do that. Honestly it should work fine though. Or, as I mentioned, get a mSD card and put it in an adapter and plug that in. Those are cheap.

Cyber Monday Deal: UPS

Postby Paladin » Mon Dec 02, 2019 3:45 pm

Cyber Monday Deal

This is a GREAT price on one of the best UPS's you can buy.
$129 The CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS system

This is the one I bought last year for my new PC and love it so far. I have my PC, router and security system on it.
https://www.amazon.com/CyberPower-CP150 ... 00429N19W/

This is a pure sinewave UPS so supplies some of the cleanest power available.

I am really tempted to buy another one to supply power to my TV, cable box etc....

Thanks for posting this. I have a 1500 series on my main PC and my server's backup went bad last month. So I'll put the new one here and the other one to the server. Hell of a price.

G502 Hero - $32.99

https://deals.dell.com/en-us/productdet ... 6172032271

It's the same mouse Jace and I use, only with an updated sensor and full RGB. Has tilt-wheel, which some newer gaming mice do not have. Nothing I've seen looks better than this for all-around use- gaming and productivity. I'm tempted to buy it again, and make sure it ends up at my house this time.

First this is also on Amazon for only $2 more. Of course Amazon is easier to deal with returns etc... and of course Prime.
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G-910-0 ... B07PHLBBQR

We were talking mice before so I spent some thought cycles on paying attention to my mouse as we gamed recently. I still don't think it is the best mouse I ever used but it is a really good one.
Slightly small for me, maybe that is the main thing I don't like. I have large hands with long fingers. The side part that sticks out and attaches with a magnet sometimes was "twanging" but that seemed to settle down.
I think it is just not the best fit for me but of course works as intended. all personal.
Over all I think I give it an 8/10.

Unsure I like the white accents on the special edition but it is cheaper.
I got one to slightly upgrade mine/have a spare. Good price.

I don't know of a better one right now, not that I look all that often.

I am still on the hunt for my perfect mouse.

I have the same opinions on this mouse. I THOUGHT this had weights but I can't remember how to add them. IF you get a mouse you like its a good idea to get a spare or two. I really really really miss my G5 ;( Anyway, I bought another one of these for $30'ish and it will stay in the package until this one dies.

It has weights on the bottom lexx. > shaped ones.

I never got the weight in a mouse thing myself. I just load all the weights in. I mean it is soooooo subtle I can't really notice anything other than no weights or all the weights. i :) i

The g502 is pretty good, but as Paladin says, I am still searching for my perfect mouse.

The thumb buttons are too far forward for my liking on the 502, and I don't care for the arrangement. Here is my idea for the perfect arrangement of thumb-buttons:

+

Five buttons in a plus-sign configuration. You have your four buttons for up/down & forward/back, and a center button. I think this would be an easy config to remember and use, and would add an additional dimension to a control setup. If you think back to our DDO days, or another game with configurable command bars, you could use the directional keys to cycle through bars, move up and down the length of the command bars, and use the center key to activate the command once you've selected.

Also, it will be easy to remember button positions for commands in other games. No mouse I've ever seen has this config. Suppose I'm the only one that wants it.
