Funky little gadget with custom LCD buttons $99

No one's buying this, but I thought it was interesting enough to post. I don't even understand half the stuff they're using it for. Looks like fancy macro keys.

Nice idea, if I was still editing I could probably find a use for it, but not at $99.

It is not really great for editing Lurch. Probably easier to just use the normal keyboard.

I am familiar with that box. It is really meant for people streaming live or creating content for Youtube etc.... Allows you to change camera views and launch things easily.

Barnacules Nerdgasm reviewed it last year.

Yes Paladin, I know. I just meant I could adapt it to editing if I had one laying around, but it wouldn't be enough of an advantage to buy for $99. Use it as a switching board. No real need for it along those lines though, since the computer already does it all and one-button switching isn't a $99 convenience.

I see where it would help with streaming, but I don't do that.

This is what you want for editing Lurch. *IF* you were in the market for such a thing of course. i :) i
I use mine all the time for video editing and music mixing/mastering. A shuttle control is a MUST HAVE!

I also use one of these.

Yeah, I've used shuttles and jog dials before, but got really used to the JKL combination, and only used shuttles in actual studios.

I sent a link to a streamer I play LiF with, and he said he already had one and LOVED it.
