I have no problem at all with having some in game purchases. I know most don't think of it this way but it IS a business. They have to keep paying people to maintain the servers, do updates etc... All the costs to even RUN the servers etc... If having memberships and having some purchases keeps the game itself going, I am fine with that. As long as it is not pay to play as far as it unbalancing the game. Planetside 2 is good that way. The lowest level, just created characters have just as powerful weapons as a 100 Battle Ranked (level) character. Sure they may have more Armour etc.. but even that can be had fairly fast in the game. What they do is use what you can buy to expand what characters you equip etc.. so if you just want to play one character in one faction you don't really need to spend anything else once you max the guns you want and the armor etc... That is not too bad.
I do NOT agree with the way EA does things though. I mean giving you the chance for a loot but not even guarantee what you get is at the cost level as far as the level of the thing etc...
o I agree with you guys on that.
However I do not think government intervention is needed. We do NOT need MORE government regulation, we have plenty. We are a free society and that is capitalism.
Bottom line is let the market decide. If gamers are stupid enough to play the game and pay for that shit, then that is their problem. We are not buying those games so we are not effected. See easy!
