Don't forget about the Humble Bundle - the $1 tier gives you Wurm and Van Helsing, another Torchlight 2 wanna-be with some nice gfx and character. Either one seems WELL worth a single dollar, and you get yet another copy of the original Borderlands to give away.

I bought Grim Dawn. I enjoyed the HELL out of the Torchlight 2 games, but in later levels, the enemy onslaught became somewhat insane, and the sheer amount of weapons, armor and jewel upgrades got to be too much, and I just gave up. Supposed to be a ton of loot in this as well, but I'm hoping it won't be as hard to keep upgrading the weapons/armor. When I was researching Torchlight 2 replacements, three games kept coming up:

1. Van Helsing, whose Steam Key can be purchased for $1 through Humble Bundle right now, along with Wurm (both of which look to be worth $5 apiece to even cheap bastards like us).

2. Grim Dawn, which was still in the $20 range, even through Kinguin. When I saw it go on sale for $7.50, I knew it was time to jump in.

3. Titan Quest Anniversary Edition - which was about $5 through Kinguin. A little older, but they fixed a bunch of the resolution and bug issues, and the gfx and gameplay still hold up. A classic in the Diablo-esque field.

Some or all of these have mods in the Steam Workshop, and I now own all three - and no, I'm not "saving" any of them to play with you guys on the off-chance you might show up one day. You have to get your shit together. I'm not your 2:30AM fat bitch, last-ditch booty call for when you don't have anything better to do. You wanna game, you say so, you make plans with me, and I'll game. I'll not sit on TS hoping someone shows up. I'm doing my own thing.

Lurch was kind enough to slide me the Steam Key for Van Helsing, though I felt bad about it and wish he'd kept it. It's a dollar, and it comes with Wurm as well, which got great reviews. Lurch, let us know how Wurm works out for you. Plenty of time for more of us to pick that up if it looks good.

Wurm is a build skills from the ground up game, which a lot of people might not like. I've been putzing with it a bit, finally have some things growing, still living out of the tent they give you to start with. I wasn't able to get the dedicated server to be visible to others online, which seems to be a problem a lot of people are having, but I still run the server to play locally on, because I have several hours in it, and it's the "world" my stuff and skills are in.

Basically it's medieval minecraft with lots better graphics, and a lot of other stuff thrown in as well. Skills, abilities, magic, etc. Since I play PVE and keep PVP to things like Battlefield and Insurgency, none of you will probably ever end up playing with me.

One thing I did find amusing, if I could get it to work, is that you can link up servers. So I could step through a portal on one server and travel to another server. In the setup for it you can designate which servers are north, south, east or west of you, and just move server to server from in game, without having to close down your game and reload on a new server.

Posting this here as well, so that no one misses it.

20% off Ebay purchases sitewide on Friday, March 9th.

Minimum $25 purchase.

Code: PSPRING20

https://pages.ebay.com/promo/2018/0309/7020.html

If there's something you want, you might want to get in early. I think there is a finite number of coupons/discounts. They don't say that, but I think that's been the case in the past, and the sale ended earlier than the time they stated. Better safe than sorry.

The Coupon is a 20% discount, valid from 8:00 AM PST March 9, 2018 until 8:00 PM PST on March 9, 2018. Discount applies to the purchase price (excluding shipping, handling, and taxes) of eligible item(s) of $25 or more and will be capped at a value of $100. Only eBay members registered with an address located in the United States or Canada are eligible for the Coupon. Eligible items exclude items from the Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, and Real Estate categories. Coupon can be used once within a single transaction (or cart), while supplies last. Any unused difference between the discount amount, as shown on the Coupon, and the purchase price of an item(s) in a single transaction (or cart) will be forfeited.

Coupon is subject to U.S laws, void where prohibited, not redeemable for cash, has no face value, and cannot be combined with any other Coupon, or when paying with PayPal Credit Easy Payments or Gift Cards. eBay may cancel, amend, or revoke the Coupon at any time.

Reposted here for those who subscribe:

Rosewill NightHawk 117 - About $34 with discount code BTEPSEY22 , before tax, free shipping. Also has a $15 MIR, which I never count on, but that takes it down to under $20 before tax, shipped.

I know I've said I'd never buy another Rosewill, but I'm tempted. It comes with 5 fans, a fan controller and a HD dock on top! It does use 3 Molex connectors for their fan controller, though.

Here's a review from Tom's Hardware, tehy like it. I'm tempted to buy it now.

Weird. Molex plugs are just power, no pulse control. I guess they simply adjust voltage going to the fans.

Thanks for the heads up. I will take a look at it. How long is the sale?
Never mind, it ends Sunday I see.

At least it looks cool. I like the way that one looks.
That other one... Yikes... i :) i

Maybe I will get one. Start getting some of the stuff when they go on sale.

If it didn't say ROSEWILL on it. . . that last case about broke my soul. Also, that is a HUGE case. Bigger than even my current big bastard case.

OK ANOTHER BIG DEAL, HEADS-UP.

https://pages.ebay.com/promo/2018/0320/7019.html

https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/85ov89/meta_starts_tuesday_march_20th_15_off_ebay_with/

15% off (most) everything at EBAY tomorrow, Tuesday the 20th, from 9AM to 7PM PACIFIC time. Minimum $25 purchase, with a maximum $50 savings. If you spend more than $333.33, the discount caps at $50 and every dollar spent after that is not 15% off.

USE CODE: PSPRINGTIME

Paladin, the deal I got in on a couple weeks back was 20% off, and was capped at $100 Still not bad at all. If you find something you like at a good price, an extra 15% off isn't nothing. Maybe find a good power supply, or a case, or even a few good case fans or spare cables, an SSD or HDD etc. There should be something you could use an extra 15% discount on. I'd get me a new shirt or two if I could figure out the sizing system half of them use. . .

Don't forget, I have that spare CPU cooler if you buy one of the 'x'-series chips and need one. It's not a well-known name, but Tom's Hardware liked it a lot - and it's free.

THE DARKNESS II

FREE on Humble Bundle for 14 more hours from the time of this post.

It looks awesome. The game is 6 years old so nobody here should have a problem running it with all eye candy on.
