Immensely popular for use in Nas setups, the best deal you'll get on wd Red drives. Best I've seen since BlackFriday.

Link goes to thread with lots of info on shucking, the best serial# to look for, etc

On sale for $149.99

Great price for great drives. Pull em from their plastic shell and use em as a regular internal drive for about 60% of the cost.

These are generally valued for being shuckable for WD Reds.

There are four possible internal drives inside. WD80EFZX (Red label, Made in China, 128MB cache), WD80EFAX (Red label, Made in Thailand, 256MB cache), WD80EMAZ (white label, 256MB cache), WD80EMZZ (white label, 128MB drive cache)

The model that most people want is the WD80EFAX -- the 256MB cache red label. You can try check the boxes to see which one you will get. If says it's "Made in Thailand" it's probably a 256MB cache version, where as "Made in China" is probably a 128MB cache version.

Older boxes are more likely to have Reds than white labels. White labels sometimes encounter problems due to having a 3.3v pin and might have to be modified to work with your PSU. YMMV
