Ghostbusters game $2.49 (you need this)
Posted: Sat Jan 21, 2017 12:49 amSingle-player only.
If you liked or loved the original Ghostbusters movies, you need this game.
Not for the great gameplay - it's a middlin' over-the-shoulder shooter. But you need it for the voice-acting. All the important characters are back, voiced by their original actors. You need it because the game was script-doctored by Harold Ramis and Dan Ackroyd, the latter of whom proclaimed this, "Basically, the third Ghostbuster movie."
Get it for the atmosphere, to once again enjoy the Ghostbuster world with old friends. Ackroyd really gave a GREAT performance here, just as if it were as important to him as a movie. Ramis was hit or miss. He might have been ill at the time (he passed away a couple years back). Bill Murray was flat. It worked for some scenes, but it wasn't necessarily the right tone for EVERY scene. He had been long disinterested in more Ghostbusters at the time, even though he recently appeared in the reboot. I don't think he brought his "A" game to this, but it's not nearly enough to ruin things. I don't recall a less than good performance from any other character.
It's like being in a Ghostbusters movie. The gfx are good for 2009, and don't detract from the game, yet. Maybe we'll be more jaded in the future, though.
IT'S GHOSTBUSTA'S, IT'S $2.50, WADDAYA WANT!?
Key activates in STEAM.
