Well, I bought it. I didn't think I'd get too many more chances to get it at this price for a good while.

I still have the Pip-Boy edition on order that I hopefully can sell for a profit. This standard version I just bought will then be free to me, and I'll have a chunk of cash left over to put towards the Logitech G910 keyboard that's going down to $99 on Black Friday.

If I can't sell the Pip-Boy edition before Launch Day, I'll just cancel the order. I'll still have purchased a (standard)game I was DEFINITELY buying at the best price I was going to see for 6 months. Really hope I can sell it though. Someone on Reddit offered me $40 less than my purchase price on it.

This is still on sale. I can't figure out why it's such a great price before it even comes out, when people are throwing cash at their monitors while shouting, "Shut up and take my money!"

Anyone else get in on this?

Seriously, this is one of the most anticipated games of the past 5 years. Even people who say, "I never pre-order" are pre-ordering. I have NEVER pre-ordered a single-player game, and I bought it. I wonder why the big, lengthy sale.

Thanks Doc. I ordered it. I'm still pissed at myself for missing the $20 off for the game-season-pass combo - that was an amazing deal. But hey $13 off is pretty good.

I'm ordering a new MB/CPU/RAM during Black Friday weekend and will be looking for a new game to play during my Christmas/New Years vacation. I've got a feeling this will be it. I'd better hurry up and finish off the main quests and DLC for New Vegas!

It is an okay price but to me it needs to get in the $30's to be a GOOD sale. In the $20's to be a great one.

It's a GREAT price for a pre-order on a game this highly desired. Think of the most highly desired game PC game series out there, a series nearly 20 years old that ppl love and that has a fanatical following of fanboys. WRONG! FALLOUT is that series. Ppl went nuts when they announced it was almost done this June, and they sold out of the Special Edition in a DAY. That's why it's going for twice retail on Ebay before the game is even released. People cosplay it, make live-action fan videos, props from the game, and I hear some nerds make Fallout-themed lamps and the like.

Not only is the series loved for its gameplay, but it's story, humor, worldbuilding, and massive worlds with seeming endless content. Then consider that the game is highly mod-able, with a place on the internet that you can browse thru the mods, click on the mod, and it will DL it and install it for you (you may have to tweak load order of the mods, though, easily done with a GUI interface.) Finally, consider that FO4 is being made by the makers of Skyrim, probably the best-selling, best-reviewed single-player RPG since Fallout: New Vegas.

I have 435 hours in Fallout: New Vegas alone, and I still haven't finished a single one of the DLC's, though I'm a good way thru one of them.

It's not just the price, it's the combo of the price, the timing, and the great demand for this game that makes it a great price. By way of comparison, Grand Theft Auto 5, which is a year old now, is on sale this weekend for $40.19.

That has nothing to do with it. Best game ever made or so so game.

My point is the price of only $13 off is only an "okay" deal.
That applies for ANY game.

I'd like to buy it at 2 for a nickel, but I know I won't get a game on release day for that.

Again you missed my point. That is a silly example and you should be beat with a wet noddle. We would all like any game for $5.
Remember this is coming from a group of guys who bitched about paying $10 for a map pack in BF.

ALL I am saying is that saving 22% off ANYTHING is an okay deal. I never said it was not a deal at all. 1/5 the price-ish. That is okay.

30% to 50% off a good deal and 50% or more a great deal. Of course you get those 70-75% off deals those are excellent! i i

Hey just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. If you personally consider 22% off a great deal that is cool. i i

It all comes down to timing. Do you want to wait or not? Can you wait or not? How far behind are you on finishing the games in your existing library.

So it's not just a matter of $$ to me. For example I like having some new to playing during my Christmas/New Years break - I want something that will be addictive, time-consuming, and take advantage of my hardware. Games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout are good candidates for that. Those same games are less appealing when I'm working overtime and don't have much time to play.

I'm embarrassed by how many games I've horded during Steam Sales for $5 or less, now realizing that I will never, ever, ever find the time to play 90% of those. Now collectively all those $5 purchases for games I never played and never will add up. Were those a good deal?

Food for thought. Great debate! Interesting points on both sides. Of course it's all subjective and really comes down to what's important to the individual on that given day.

The chance you'd have a problem buying from them is quite small, but non-zero. I've bought from places like them in the past. Only a couple times, but it worked out fine those times.
