Found a fantastic site to buy replacement batteries for your UPS battery backup units! I had just bought a new 1500w 900 from Amazon then I found this place a few minutes later: http://www.replaceupsbattery.com/

I was able to pickup a double battery kit for my 1000w unit for only $37 and for a 550w one it only cost me $24. Shipping was free and next day. I ordered on a Friday and it was waiting on my porch Monday morning. They seem to have a business to business mentality.

If you have these suckers lying around with dead batteries I can't recommend this site enough ;D

NICE find man!!!!

I have a LOT of UPS's with dead batteries. My only question is how good are these batteries.
Only time will tell on this I suppose. Let us know of any issues with them.

If they take PayPal I may replace my two main UPS's batteries.

They were exactly the same as what came out of the units. One, the 1000w'er wouldn't even turn on with the bad batteries, I thought it would be no good, but once the new batteries were installed it fired right up like it didn't lose a beat. You just can't beat the price or service. I'm tickled to have all my backups back. Heck, I'll take a couple of those off your hands. I tossed out at least a couple of these myself not knowing any better.

Being replacements are fine Lexx. I just worry if they are good brand new ones or reconditioned and/or cheap China made etc... Will they hold up is the question. Usually when you get stuff cheap it is... well.. cheap. i :) i

I don't have extra's, sorry. Why would you toss the units? That is not too bright i :) i
I know they only need batteries, I just have not looked for a place where they were reasonable pried so I could replace them at home.

We replace them at work all of the time. The main units are fine. The batteries just die.
They are meant to be replaced, that is why they have plugs. i :) i

If I ever come across any we don't need at work, I will snag it for you. i :) i

Nice find! Now I won't cry so hard when my favorite UPS goes down. It's the best UPS I ever had, my favorite attribute being how quiet it is. I've had some noisy suckers!

Uh, yah they took Paypal on both my orders, I did that to save a couple of mins. We have been having power outs here a lot lately. It took out my wife's computer and dumped me out of BF4 at least a couple of times. Should be covered now unless the FIOS service goes out although I just tied all the network equipment to the rebuilt UPS.
