Got my federal refund check and wanted to buy a laptop for not alot of money. I wanted one that I would primarily use for school (programming) that had a large high resolution screen but also wanted one that could handle games at the very least decently. Ended up finding a used workstation laptop with an Nvidia quadro modeling card in it for under $300 with multiple in stock.

This laptop was a steal for me, the dedicated graphics while not designed for gaming easily handles almost all games at low-medium settings, the performance got even better when softmodding the drivers to making it think it was a geforce card. The hardware in the quadro 1600m 512mb is identical to the 8700m GT 512mb so I used this trick (http://forum.notebookreview.com/gaming- ... -side.html) to make the driver installer think that it was a 8700m GT and my gaming performance, at least on a $200+ laptop was very good. I can play pretty much anything comfortably at low-medium settings. Anybody looking for a decent mobile workstation that can handle games would enjoy this so I thought I would share.
